An exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join a dynamic finance team within the energy sector. This junior-level position is ideal for a finance graduate with around 2 years of experience who is looking to develop a career in management accounting and cost control.
As a Finance Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting financial planning and analysis activities, with a particular focus on cost control, budget monitoring, and reporting. You'll gain hands-on exposure to financial processes within a fast-moving and essential industry while receiving full support towards your CIMA qualification.
Key Responsibilities- Support the cost controller in monitoring and analysing project and operational costs
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and budget reports
- Provide variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Collaborate with project teams to track spend, raise purchase orders, and ensure alignment with budgets
- Support the month-end and year-end close process
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Around 2 years of finance or accounting experience, ideally within an industry or project environment
- Strong analytical and Excel skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enthusiastic about developing a career in finance within the energy sector
- Motivated to pursue and complete the CIMA qualification (full study support provided)
