We’re working with a rapidly growing UK-based electric vehicle infrastructure business that’s expanding its portfolio of high-power charging sites nationwide. As part of this growth, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to lead the on-site delivery of multiple EV charging projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across multiple sites, and has strong experience managing contractors and utility connections.

The Role

  • You’ll be responsible for overseeing the construction phase of EV charging developments, from site mobilisation through to handover.
  • Working closely with internal development, design, and grid teams, you’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to agreed technical and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site construction activities across multiple EV charging sites.
  • Manage and coordinate contractors, Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), and suppliers.
  • Support early-stage design by advising on buildability and construction methodology.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including CDM regulations.
  • Monitor programme, cost, and resources, proactively addressing delivery risks.
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout construction and commissioning.
  • Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and performance metrics.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering multi-site construction projects (in EV infrastructure, utilities, energy, or similar sectors).
  • Strong contractor and ICP management capability.
  • Solid understanding of construction HSE requirements and CDM regulations.
  • Highly organised with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
