We’re hiring a Commercial Portfolio Associate to join a small, high-ownership team working across investments, finance, and portfolio management within renewable energy. This is a hands-on modelling role with exposure to Investment Committees, Boards, and senior stakeholders, supporting investment decisions, capital allocation, and portfolio performance across European platform companies.
The role involves sitting between investments, finance, asset management, and the platform companies, helping ensure good investment decisions and clear portfolio oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Review and challenge project-level financial models ahead of investment decisions
- Maintain and improve portfolio and AssetCo models used for valuations, scenarios, and capital allocation
- Support IC and Board approval packs (models, KPIs, summaries)
- Link project models, asset performance data, and portfolio forecasts
- Support reporting, valuation cycles, and performance tracking
- Assist with new funded solutions, structured products, and occasional M&A analysis
About you:
- You’re a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys building models but also wants to see how they’re used in practice.
- Have 2–4 years’ experience in project finance, infrastructure investing, modelling advisory, or finance roles with strong modelling exposure
- Are confident in Excel (DCF, project finance, sensitivities, debt sizing)
- Can challenge assumptions and explain outputs clearly
- Are organised, proactive, and comfortable working across teams
- Have an interest in renewable energy and infrastructure
- Experience with VBA, Power BI, Python or AI tools is a plus.
