The company designs, builds and operates low-carbon energy infrastructure to help organisations decarbonise heat, power and transport. With multiple high-profile projects underway, the team is expanding to support continued commercial growth.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Sales Executive/Business Development Lead to support and grow hydrogen sales activity across the UK. Reporting into a senior commercial leader, you'll play a key role in identifying new opportunities, engaging prospective customers and helping convert projects across sectors such as off-grid power, industrial energy users and clean mobility. This role suits someone commercially sharp, proactive and motivated by working in a fast-paced, sustainability-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation through to deal close
- Identify and research new prospects across priority sectors and regions
- Develop tailored commercial proposals and sales presentations
- Maintain and update the sales pipeline and CRM system
- Build and nurture strong client relationships through regular engagement
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, operations and finance teams
- Track market trends, customer insights and competitor activity
- Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions and client meetings
- Contribute to improving sales processes, tools and materials
About You
You're commercially minded, confident engaging with clients and motivated by the opportunity to work in clean energy. You enjoy autonomy but thrive in a collaborative team, and you're keen to develop your career in a high-growth sector. Experience in hydrogen is not essential β candidates from adjacent industries are encouraged to apply.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a B2B sales or commercial role (energy, industrial, infrastructure or construction preferred; TV production or festival experience also of interest)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident, persuasive and professional client-facing style
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Genuine interest in sustainability, clean energy and innovation
- Comfortable using CRM systems and standard office software
- Tendering or bid support experience is desirable but not essential
