The Green Recruitment Company are working with a very well-backed European Development platform who are looking for their next COO. Ideally, this person is an Italian citizen based in London (or based in Italy with the availability to travel to London once a month or when necessary). They should have at least 5 years of experience in the PV and BESS market (origination/development of agri-pv and BESS projects in Italy)

1. General Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations and align teams for efficient execution.

  • Work with the CEO to develop and implement business strategies.

  • Lead teams to optimize performance and results.

  • Supervise all phases of project development, construction, and operation (PV, BESS, and related technologies).

2. Project & Opportunity Management

  • Manage project portfolios and identify new opportunities aligned with the company’s strategy.

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure technical compliance with PV and BESS project specifications.

  • Build relationships with suppliers and review updated proposals for inclusion in FM.

  • Oversee technical documentation, including layouts, grid connections, and single-line diagrams (SLD).

  • Conduct site visits before land acquisition.

  • Introduce and develop M&A or co-development opportunities.

  • Define annual MW targets (MWn for BESS and MWp for PV) with the CEO.

3. Budgeting & Financial Oversight

  • Prepare budget forecasts and consolidate quarterly budgets to ensure financial alignment.

4. Stakeholder & Board Communication

  • Lead board reporting and presentations with the Group and Sponsors.

  • Develop and present approval decks with the team for formal project sign-offs.
