The role provides an excellent opportunity to join a growing team, offering professional development and accreditation that’s ideal for a driven energy specialist. The Carbon Consultant would join a leading business providing decarbonisation and energy services that help clients reach net zero goals. The role requires site visits across the Southeast region, liaising with stakeholders to ensure effective survey execution for a wide range of clients across schools, hospitals, and business sites to help them reduce their carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency.
The ideal candidate would:
- Be an experienced energy professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for sustainability to conduct site decarbonisation surveys, provide energy performance assessments and recommendations, and carry out the required display energy certification, energy performance certificates, and recommendations reports.
- Have experience doing calculations on costs, savings & carbon reduction, analyse energy data and provide reports using Excel and specialist software.
- Have knowledge of building energy systems.
- Have knowledge of modern energy technologies such as heat pumps, solar PV, and building management systems.
- Work towards gaining relevant accreditations where required (if not already held).
- Have obtained ideally Industry/relevant technical or environmental qualifications (e.g. EPC, ESOS or qualification to carry out and lodge DECs & RRs with a registered certification body).
