Your responsibilities would include:
- Managing a portfolio of installations: programmes, installation teams and subcontractors, procurement, budgets, variations, and margin
- Specifying design requirements - system size, layout, product selection, structural and access constraints - and reviewing designs and yield models for buildability and compliance (BS 7671, IET PV Code of Practice)
- Running the DNO process end-to-end (G98/G99/G100): applications, offers, witness testing, and notifications, aligned to the programme
- Managing planning workstreams: permitted development checks, planning applications and conditions; coordinating planning and structural consultants
- Ensuring projects meet insurer, funder, and warranty requirements, including roof-mounted PV fire safety guidance (RC62) and product due diligence
- Supporting sales with site surveys, feasibility, budget pricing, and technical input to proposals and tenders; identifying follow-on opportunities (BESS, EV charging, O&M)
- Owning site health & safety and quality: CDM 2015 duties, RAMS approval, site inspections, commissioning, and handover packs
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience managing commercial solar PV installations in the UK
- Hands-on experience of DNO applications and UK planning requirements for commercial PV
- Familiarity with PV design/proposal software (PV*SOL, OpenSolar, or similar) and project management tools
- Understanding of insurance and warranty considerations affecting product choice and installation practice
- Strong commercial and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
