Accountant in Basingstoke

We’re supporting a rapidly growing renewable energy infrastructure business that’s expanding its UK finance function. They’re hiring an Accountant to work closely with the Finance Director across financial accounting, reporting, audit and compliance, with strong development opportunities as the team grows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual accounts under UK GAAP
• Assist with Group reporting under IFRS
• Manage journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Intercompany postings and reconciliations
• Month-end close support and management accounts preparation
• Assist with audits, VAT returns and tax compliance
• Improve processes, controls and ERP reporting
• Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance Director and project teams

About You:

• AAT or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified
• Strong financial accounting experience and month-end exposure
• Good understanding of UK GAAP; IFRS exposure is a bonus
• Detail-focused, proactive and able to work with international teams
