The Green Recruitment Company is proud to be partnering with a fast-growing clean energy start-up on a mission to build the UK\βs leading residential solar, battery, and heat source brand.Simplifying solar for homeowners and businesses, this innovative company is scaling rapidly through strategic acquisitions, digital innovation, and operational excellence.With a central HQ in London and a growing national presence, they are now hiring an Associate Marketing Director to take ownership of the core marketing operations.In this role: You will have an opportunity to lead and shape marketing in a scaling, impact-driven company.
You\βll work directly with the founding team in a collaborative, fast-paced and supportive culture, part of an entrepreneurial leadership team and influence the company\βs growth trajectory
You will be deeply hands-on with content-led growth, capable of both developing and executing strategy, while actively managing and optimizing day-to-day content initiatives, to include the set up and running PPC campaigns
What You\βll Do Strategic Marketing Leadership & IntegrationDevelop and implement a centralised B2C marketing strategy across the group, aligned to the company\βs scale-up goals.
Integrate marketing operations and approaches from 3 acquired businesses into one cohesive function.
Establish frameworks, tools, processes, and reporting across the marketing team to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Brand Positioning & GrowthDefine and refine the company\βs brand identity and positioning in the residential energy space.
Lead brand strategy to support growth, customer trust, and market differentiation.
Ensure consistency in messaging, design, and tone of voice across all channels and brands.
Marketing Execution & Demand GenerationOversee and optimise the entire marketing funnel β from awareness and acquisition to retention and referral.
Manage and support the team in executing content-led and digital campaigns (e.g. YouTube, social, PPC, SEO, email, website).
Collaborate closely with Sales to align on lead quality, handover processes, and conversion strategy.
Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and support a team of 4 marketers, each with existing capabilities in content, branding, and lead generation.
Foster a collaborative, growth-focused culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
Identify skill gaps and hiring needs as the business scales.
Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with the Founders, Sales, Operations, and Product teams to ensure marketing is aligned with broader business objectives.
Be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on data and market trends.
What We\βre Looking For Proven experience in a strategic marketing leadership role in a B2C environment, ideally within energy, utilities, or other fast growth/regulated sectors.
Strong background in brand development, integrated marketing planning, and demand generation.
Proven experience in the setup and running of successful PPC campaigns, and content-led growth
Demonstrated ability to lead through integration and change, bringing together disparate teams and marketing systems.
Hands-on and strategic β equally comfortable setting the vision and rolling up your sleeves to execute.
Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of the interplay between marketing, sales, and customer acquisition.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Nice to Have Experience in a scale-up or M&A integration environment.
Knowledge of the UK residential energy supply market.
Familiarity with content-led growth, performance marketing, and CRM tools
