TPF Recruitment, Kent's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in Tonbridge, who are looking for a Part Time Senior Practice Accountant to join their experienced team in a general practice capacity, primarily focused on statutory accounts and corporate tax returns. There will be an opportunity to support with some self-assessment tax work and management accounts work, should you wish. Our client is willing to build the position around the candidate's experience and aspirations.
As a Senior Practice Accountant, you will report directly into the Manager and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of small business owners through to multi-million pound groups. You will be based in an amazing office in a rural location in Tonbridge and also have the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working hours. This is a great position with an excellent practice that promotes a great work-life balance. Full-time or part-time applicants will be considered.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and reviewing annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns.
- Managing your client portfolio and client relations.
- Overseeing and reviewing the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers.
- Onboarding new clients and assisting the partners with ad-hoc consulting and systems implementation work as required.
Requirements:
- You will be qualified, or studying ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience with at least 3-5 years’ experience within practice.
- You will have worked as a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant within a practice environment and have hands-on experience of accounts, ideally management accounts, tax, and VAT.
Benefits:
- £35,000 - £50,000, based on experience.
- 3-4 days per week, or equivalent hours.
