TPF Recruitment is supporting a well established and growing accountancy practice in Canterbury with the recruitment of an Outsourcing Senior / Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional, ideally AAT Level 4 qualified, to join a modern and highly regarded firm offering genuine long term career progression.
The role will involve working closely with a varied portfolio of clients across Kent and the wider South East, delivering a broad range of outsourced accounting services including management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns, and cloud accounting support using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
This position offers a strong mix of office based and client facing work, providing the opportunity to build lasting relationships with businesses ranging from owner managed companies and sole traders through to larger corporate groups across a wide range of sectors. The firm has built an excellent reputation for client service and continues to experience steady organic growth through referrals and new business wins. As a result, they are looking to appoint an ambitious individual who is keen to develop their technical skills and progress their career within a supportive and forward thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
- Assisting businesses with financial reporting and process improvements
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting clients both remotely and on site where required
- Ideally AAT Level 4 qualified, although qualified by experience will also be considered
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
- Experience preparing management accounts, VAT returns and bookkeeping
- Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and client focused approach
- £28,000 to £32,000 dependent on experience
