Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of heavy plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, or other equipment relevant to the role.
  • Safely and efficiently carry out tasks such as loading, digging, lifting, and transporting materials on-site.
  • Perform daily checks and routine maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, ensuring safe operation of machinery at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with site managers and team members to coordinate operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any issues encountered.
  • Adhere to site-specific requirements and company policies.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Relevant CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) and CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) certifications.
  • Experience: Proven experience operating heavy plant machinery in construction or related industries.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of site health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Skills: Excellent operational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work at different sites as needed.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of operating heavy machinery and working on construction sites.
