As ZSL enters a pivotal new chapter, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Supporter Officer to lead fundraising, marketing and audience engagement at a defining moment for the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Executive and as part of the Executive Committee, this role will shape and deliver an integrated strategy to grow income, deepen supporter engagement and strengthen ZSL’s position as a leading conservation charity and visitor attraction.
The successful candidate will drive innovation across fundraising and marketing, with a particular focus on high value giving and long-term supporter engagement, underpinned by a data-led approach. This is a high impact leadership role with responsibility for building and inspiring high performing teams, developing compelling strategies and partnerships, and acting as a senior ambassador to extend ZSL’s reach and influence.
We are seeking an experienced senior leader with a strong track record in fundraising, marketing, and audience engagement, who brings strategic insight, commercial acumen and the ability to lead change in a complex organisation. You will define and deliver an integrated strategy across fundraising, marketing and audience growth, ensuring every supporter experience is meaningful, impactful and clearly connected to ZSL’s mission. This will include driving high value fundraising and strengthening ZSL’s reach and reputation.
Leading teams across these areas, you will be a visible, values-led leader and trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Committee, helping ensure supporters clearly understand and feel connected to the difference they make.
