About the role

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will help drive the business's continued growth and expansion through the development of relationships with new prospective clients, developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of new business leads, and orchestrate the efforts of the EMEA new business team and ensure their targets are met. You will formulate, take ownership and deliver effective New Business strategies in liaison with the Chief Executive Officer, MD EMEA, and EMEA Management team.

What you'll do

  • New Business Creation and execution of the yearly and half-yearly new business plans.
  • Own and hit / exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Partner with potential clients to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate the company offering through proposals and presentations.
  • Stay up to date with new products / services and new pricing / payment plans.
  • Maintain an effective understanding of the industry landscapes and trends.
  • Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
  • Act as a senior manager in the company, reporting to the MD and reporting on performance vs targets.
  • Act as a GP lead at our company events / webinars / clients' events.

Finance & Operations

On-going development and implementation of the most efficient financial systems (cost standardisation, margins etc) and reporting with the finance team.

Employees and Talent Management

  • Line Manage our New Business Growth Exec, mentoring them to hit their targets.
  • Conduct appraisal process and performance manage your direct report.
  • Participate in recruitment of team members, attending interviews and providing feedback as appropriate.

Further Responsibilities

  • Participation in the weekly management meetings and monthly EMEA External Management Meetings as required.
  • Participation in the Group Partnership meetings as required.
  • Act in good faith to the Company and its Shareholders always.
  • Maintain loyalty to and respect for fellow colleagues.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Set and maintain high standards and lead by example.
  • Inspire, motivate and communicate.
  • Praise good work and constructively criticise when appropriate.
  • Fully understand and comply with all aspects of Health & Safety, raising any areas of concern to the relevant member of the management team.
  • Management of hubspot CRM platform.
