Are you passionate about breaking down barriers to education? Green Meadows Academy is seeking a dedicated and resilient Attendance and Offsite Provision Co-ordinator to join our pastoral team. In this vital role, you will be the bridge between school, home and external alternative provisions, ensuring no pupil slips through the cracks. This is a dual focus role centered on connection, compliance and care.
You will oversee pupil attendance and alternative provisions across the school by managing formal statutory processes, leading on Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) plans, conducting home visits and acting as our primary liaison for pupils accessing off-site alternative provisions (AP) and work experience (WEX) placements.
Green Meadows Academy, part of the Wellspring Academy Trust, is a generic special school based on two sites and 3 partnerships - Green Meadows Primary and Green Meadows Secondary are both based in Guiseley. Our partnership sites are based in the following schools:
- Rawdon St Peter’s Primary School
- Benton Park High School
- Allerton High School
Key Responsibilities
- Attendance & Statutory Management: Monitor and analyse daily data, identify persistent absence patterns and lead on formal attendance panels and Local Authority Education Welfare officer collaborations.
- EBSA & Re-engagement Support: Co-ordinate and implement tailored EBSA support plans, designing phased re-integration timetables and working 1:1 with anxious or disaffected pupils to build resilience.
- Offsite Provision Oversight: Act as the main point of contact for external AP providers, conducting regular quality assurance, safeguarding and site visits while tracking pupil progress for EHCP reviews.
- Family Engagement: Conduct supportive, non-judgmental home visits to hard-to-reach families, building trust and connecting them with external early help services, social care or medical professionals.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: A background working within an educational setting (ideally SEND, AP, or a PRU), with proven experience managing attendance data and re-engaging anxious pupils.
- Knowledge: A deep understanding of SEND barriers (such as ASC, ADHD, SEMH), statutory attendance legislation and safeguarding procedures.
- Skills: High levels of empathy, patience and resilience, alongside the ability to navigate difficult conversations with a balance of empathy and candour.
- Qualifications: A good standard of general education (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths). A relevant professional qualification in Social Work, Youth Work or Education Welfare is highly desirable.
- Requirements: You must hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle for daily home and alternative provision visits.
