Green Light Recruitment are seeking skilled and reliable Class 1 ADR Tanker Drivers to join our clients team in Huddersfield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of foodstuffs, gas, and mineral oil to the chemical industry. You will be ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and excellent driving skills.
Duties:- Operate tanker vehicles to transport liquid cargo to designated locations.
- Represent the company in a professional and polite manner at all times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, following all safety protocols.
- Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the tanker vehicle.
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a C+E ADR Tanker Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- ADR TANKS ONLY - Classes to carry 2,3,4,5,6,8,9 required for this role.
- Holding the above ADR divisions is required but training can be provided by the company to gain more experience.
- Knowledge of tankers and operations in liquid cargo is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Must be physically fit to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.
