An exciting new position for a Dispenser has arisen in the heart of the community of Croydon. McCoig Pharmacy, which is now part of the Green Light Healthcare group, is a community pharmacy that serves both our NHS and private patients. We are looking for a Dispenser to work closely with the Lead Pharmacist and the rest of the team to help us build on an already successful business.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and hardworking, with excellent customer service skills and previous experience working in community pharmacy, having completed a Medicine Counter Assistant course. We offer a competitive salary, training, and a professional but fun working environment.
You will dispense items to customers, whilst maintaining customer records. Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Providing customers/patients with an exceptional service. This will include greeting them and dealing with their requests in an efficient manner and signposting where necessary.
- Providing customers with over the counter advice on the sale and supply of pharmacy only treatments.
- Using EPOS for sales and our PMR system for the pharmacy dispensary when needed.
- Maintaining safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organisation operational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Stock control and ordering.
- Updating job knowledge by participating in training opportunities as required by the company.
- Enhancing organisation reputation.
- General admin of daily business including cleaning, filing invoices, answering the phone etc.
To be considered for this position you must have a strong customer focus and previous customer service experience. In addition, you must possess the following key skills and qualifications:
- Data entry skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work towards deadlines
- Good time-management skills
- Selling to customer needs
- Dependability.
