The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 Β£ per year.
We are seeking to appoint a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our caring, inclusive and supportive school community. This role involves working closely with individual pupils with complex special educational needs to support their learning, communication, emotional wellbeing and intimate care, helping them to access the curriculum and fully participate in school life. The successful candidate will be patient, nurturing and committed to meeting the needs of pupils with additional needs. This is a temporary contract aligned to 1:1 funding for child. Initially 1 year. Start Date: September 2026.
Qualifications:
- Will hold a teaching assistant or childcare qualification at Level 2 or equivalent
- Can take direction from experienced colleagues, while at the same time taking initiative and working independently
- Has experience of working with primary aged pupils
- Has experience of or interest in working with children with special educational needs
- Has experience of delivering relevant interventions/support
- Has experience of delivering phonics
