Job Title: Business Development Director Location: Hybrid / London Area
Salary: £60,000- £65000 + Bonus + Benefits

About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Director to lead growth initiatives, drive revenue, and build long-term client relationships. You will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for identifying new market opportunities, shaping business strategy, and leading high-value commercial negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:
Line manage the Business Development Team.
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company objectives.
Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities across key sectors and markets.
Lead on high-value sales pitches, proposals, and negotiations with C-suite stakeholders
Build and maintain strong, long-term client and partner relationships.
Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine the go-to-market approach.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, quality, operations) to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
Report regularly to the board on pipeline activity, revenue forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
Responsible to maximise our FE contracts including Advance Learner Loans, Study Programme, Adult Education Budget and Apprenticeships.

About You:
Proven experience in a senior business development or commercial role, ideally within Education Sector.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Analytical mindset with strong strategic planning and financial acumen.
Demonstrated track record of winning and growing major accounts or partnerships.
Strong understanding of Adult Skills Funding – all streams.
