We are seeking Graduate Electrical Design Engineers to join the team located in our Weston-Super-Mare office who will be working with the design team and also supporting the tendering team.
Green Frog Connect is the UK’s leading independent connection provider (ICP) and EPC contractor for power generation and energy storage projects. Our team designs and builds grid connections and power stations—up to 132kV—for renewable developers, energy-from-waste plants, industrial and commercial clients, and EV charging providers.
Training will be provided and opportunities to develop design skills for the suitable candidate, with further support to achieve Chartered Engineer status; however, an understanding of power system calculations will be advantageous.

The office is located within easy reach of the M5 and offers an unrestricted free car park. Currently, the design team operate mostly from the office but this is negotiable for the right candidate.
Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Prepare electrical designs for HV substations
- Prepare HV and LV equipment specifications
- Produce required calculations
- Provide assistance and tender support
- Engaging with clients, customers, suppliers, contractors, DNO’s in a professional manner
- Liaise with manufacturers during design, installation and commissioning
- Travel may be required for the role with some occasional overnight stays
- Ensure project compliance with all relevant standards and health & Safety requirements
Essential Requirements Skills/Qualifications:
- HNC or Degree with Electrical engineering modules.
- Ability to use AutoCAD
- Ability to use Excel for calculations
