About The Role
As Hospitality Sous Chef, you’ll support the day‑to‑day management of our hospitality kitchen while maintaining the highest culinary and operational standards.
No two days are the same.
One day you could be delivering elegant boardroom dining for senior executives, the next producing premium canapé receptions, conferences or bespoke client events.
You’ll lead from the front, supporting the Head Chef to ensure every guest receives an exceptional experience while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety and presentation.

- Deliver exceptional food for meetings, conferences, executive dining and hospitality events.
- Support the development of seasonal menus using fresh, high‑quality ingredients.
- Maintain outstanding food presentation and consistency across every service.
- Drive creativity and innovation while ensuring commercial performance.
- Leadership
- Support the Head Chef with the daily operation of the Hospitality Kitchen.
- Lead, motivate and develop a talented kitchen team.
- Coach junior chefs and kitchen porters to reach their full potential.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and high‑performing kitchen culture.
- Lead services confidently in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Operational Excellence
- Manage ordering, stock control and supplier relationships.
- Minimise food waste while maximising GP performance.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and kitchen organisation.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Food Safety & Compliance
- Maintain exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Ensure compliance with Alert65, HACCP, health & safety and company procedures.
- Complete due diligence, cleaning schedules, allergen management and temperature records.
- Champion a culture where safety and quality are everyone’s responsibility.
- What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism and a genuine passion for hospitality.
You’ll ideally have
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef within premium hospitality, corporate dining, luxury hotels or high‑end events.
- A proven track record delivering exceptional food under pressure.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
- Experience with stock control, food costing and waste management.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and allergen compliance.
- Experience using Fourth, HOPS and Alert65 (desirable).
- A calm, solutions‑focused approach with exceptional attention to detail.
- Passion for delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
