Duties And Responsibilities


Set up



  • Perform set-up of rooms and event spaces, and other special service tables and stations, banqueting rooms, dining tables, and coffee or beverage bars to company standards.

  • Switch on all necessary equipment, ensuring they’re in good working conditions and stored correctly, reporting any issues to management.

  • Perform restocking of all service areas with cutlery, crockery, glassware, condiments and all necessary items before delivery.

  • Support the team with any relevant task to ensure a smooth set-up.

  • Attend and participate to team briefings.


Delivery



  • Communicate with the kitchen and senior teams about all relevant matters to a smooth delivery, in collaborations with all colleagues.

  • Perform clearing and cleaning to maintain all areas neat and organised to company standards and event specifics.

  • Perform and ensure prompt replenishing of food and beverages to agreed specific catering levels, maintaining service, transportation and storage standards.

  • Monitor assigned stations to guarantee agreed specific catering levels.

  • Perform cleaning and dismantling of all equipment, buffets, dining tables, station and banqueting areas and ensure they are left in proper condition and sanitized.

  • Perform date checks, disposing of expired products, and handling safely leftover food.

  • Perform cleaning of all service and dining surfaces; sweeping and mopping of floors; ensure all areas are left clean.

  • Perform restocking of supplies and ensure adequate preparation for the next event.

  • Support the team with any relevant task to ensure an appropriate restoring of all event areas.


CUSTOMER SERVICE



  • Ensure to prioritise customers above all tasks.

  • Contribute to creating a welcoming environment, always greeting customers warmly and professionally.

  • Exceed and anticipate customers’ needs, striving to accommodate special requests within company practice and procedure.

  • Upkeep product knowledge to handle customers’ queries and ensure satisfaction.

  • Handle customers’ complaints, escalating to managers when necessary.

  • Provide help even if outside the specific role where suitable.

  • In accordance with your role, obtain knowledge of:

  • Alcohol service

  • Data protection

  • Licensing

  • Be proficient using our learning platform to complete all assigned courses within the given timeframe.

  • Follow all client building rules and policies, and report any issues or concerns related to those.

  • Maintain professional conduct and behaviour while on client premises, even outside the working schedule.

  • Do not take any actions that could damage the client’s reputation.


GENERAL



  • Be punctual for shifts, in clean correct uniform, and maintain high grooming standards.

  • Adhere to company policies, standards, and values in all actions.

  • Maintain a professional approach with all individuals.

  • Demonstrate openness to new learnings and self-development.

  • Be flexible in supporting other areas or locations of the business, other than your home site.
