We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the day‑to‑day running of our busy in‑house restaurant operation. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and senior leadership team, you will help deliver exceptional service, commercial performance and guest satisfaction in a professional corporate hospitality environment. This role is primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional evening work to support events and business needs.

About the role

  • Support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the restaurant, ensuring the floor, service areas and team are fully prepared for service and consistently maintained to a high standard.
  • Lead service on the floor, ensuring seamless guest experiences, smooth communication between front and back of house, efficient table management and prompt resolution of guest requests.
  • Oversee restaurant opening and closing procedures, including mise en place, bookings, guest enquiries, payments, reporting and service handovers.
  • Support wider restaurant activity including basic barista duties, assisting with events and maintaining high standards of food, beverage and guest experience.
  • Lead by example on the floor, promoting professionalism, accountability and a positive working culture.
  • Support onboarding, coaching and development of the team, reinforcing service standards, guest engagement and operational expectations.
  • Assist with team organisation, section allocations and delegation to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Provide ongoing support and feedback to help drive performance, confidence and consistency across the team.

  • Previous experience in a restaurant supervisory or management role within hospitality.
  • A hands‑on approach with a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with confidence leading a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Food and beverage knowledge, including basic barista skills, is desirable.
