Green & Fortune has a great opportunity for enthusiastic Hospitality and Events Assistants to join our team at the Royal College of Nursing. We are looking for people with some hospitality experience who enjoy working in a busy environment and being part of a small, supportive team. You don’t need to know everything from day one. We will support your learning, but you need to bring a positive attitude, energy, and a willingness to get stuck in. This is a hands‑on role supporting the delivery of meetings, conferences, and events, ensuring a high standard of service at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the management team with setting up buffets, meeting rooms, and event spaces
- Ensure all food is handled, transported, and stored in line with food safety and health and safety standards
- Maintain clean and hygienic hospitality areas in line with company and legal requirements
- Assist with clearing and cleaning during and after service
- Support with serving food and drinks, including topping up refreshments when needed
- Respond to guest requests in a polite and professional manner, escalating to management where appropriate
- Regularly check assigned areas, ensuring they are tidy, well stocked, and presentable
- Remove used items promptly and maintain a clean service environment throughout
- Ensure all equipment is stored correctly and that storage areas are kept organised
