We are looking for a service engineer with the necessary skill and experience to be able to carry out preventative and remedial maintenance on a wide range of audio visual and videoconferencing installations installed in commercial and Government buildings. This is a field service role involving travel to client sites within London and the Southern Counties but please note there may be the occasional national coverage.
Must haves for Audio Visual Support Engineer:
- Proven track record in an audio-visual service engineer role
- Experienced with commercial audio visual and videoconferencing systems
- Experience with fault-finding audio-visual systems
- UK Driving licence
- To be no more than an hour’s commute to the Woodley/Twyford area
- Have SC Clearance OR be prepared to be subjected to SC Clearance vetting
Your duties as Audio Visual Support Engineer:
- You will be involved in planning, arranging and attending service visits, providing remote technical support, updating equipment and producing service reports as well as keeping the service records updated and responding to service call outs
Your knowledge and background:
- Knowledge of Crestron, Extron, QSC switching and control systems
- Knowledge of videoconferencing systems such as Microsoft Teams Room, Google Meet and Cisco
- Knowledge and experience of Barco ClickShare
- Excellent PC skills with experience of Crestron Toolbox, Extron Global Configurator and various audio DSP software programs including Biamp and QSC
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents including system schematics
- Ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner
- Effective time management and attention to detail with a good memory
