Responsibilities
- Build a resilient, cost-effective supply base across precision engineering, electronics, and fabricated components.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, planning, and logistics.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure suppliers meet stringent technical, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Develop and execute the supply chain strategy to support production, NPI, and commercial growth.
- Own supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management.
- Ensure suppliers meet quality, compliance, and technical standards required for safety‑critical products.
- Drive dual‑sourcing and risk‑mitigation strategies.
- Oversee MRP planning, demand forecasting, and stock optimisation.
- Ensure material availability to support production schedules and customer commitments.
- Implement inventory accuracy processes, cycle counting, and stock reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering on BOM accuracy, change control, and manufacturability.
- Work with production teams to resolve supply issues, expedite critical parts, and maintain build flow.
- Lead root‑cause analysis for supply disruptions and implement corrective actions.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, freight, customs, and export compliance.
- Ensure safe, compliant handling of technical components and assemblies.
- Optimise logistics partners, routes, and cost structures.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong background in precision engineering, electronics, or complex assemblies.
- Expertise in supplier development, negotiation, and contract management.
- Solid understanding of MRP/ERP systems and data driven planning.
- Experience working in safety critical, regulated, or high-quality manufacturing sectors.
