CNC Setter Operator Monday to Friday flexible start and finish, core hours being Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm (39hr week) £18 - £21 ph + Overtime means earning of £45,000 - £58,500 per annum Malvern area We are excited to be recruiting for a leading business based in the Malvern area who specialise in critical component manufacturing (low volume, high value precision made pieces of product – this is a place where you will take great pride in being apart of and what you manufacture.
Due to growth within the business, our client is now seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC machine operator to join our manufacturing team.
The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to perform precision machining operations.
This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Essential skill set needed for CNC Setter Operator
- Time Served in CNC machining or 5+ years’ experience in CNC Milling
- In depth experience on Haas CNC controls
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD models.
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages (e. g. G-code, M-code, Power Mill).
- Excellent working knowledge of G/M code (ISO CNC) machine control Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC machines for production runs, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are in place.
- Operation: Operate CNC mills to manufacture parts according to specifications and drawings.
- Programming: Load and modify CNC programs as needed to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products against drawings and models to ensure all features are complete.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with CNC machines or the machining process to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and quality checks.
