We are partnering with a well-established and growing engineering business that is looking to add an experienced Panel Builder to its team in Reading.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical professional who takes pride in producing high-quality control panels and electrical assemblies, working on a variety of exciting projects across multiple industries.
The Role
As a Panel Builder, you will be responsible for:
- Building and wiring electrical control panels from schematics and engineering drawings
- Installing electrical components including PLCs, relays, contactors, drives, and switchgear
- Conducting panel modifications, fault finding, and testing
- Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and industry standards
- Working closely with engineering and production teams to deliver projects on time
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Panel Builder, Control Panel Wireperson, or Electrical Fitter
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Experience wiring industrial control panels and electrical assemblies
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Relevant electrical qualifications (desirable but not essential with proven experience)
