Our client is looking for a maintenance engineer to join the team supporting various maintenance tasks on precision manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will be someone who can bring enthusiasm to the role as this will be joining a team and business that shares a common goal and prides itself on its positive company culture.
Skill set wise this will suit a maintenance engineer with a mechanical bias who has strong experience with pneumatics and production machinery (electrical duties will mainly look at sensors, relays and fault diagnosing motors).
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of working within busy Manufacturing environment (to include Machining, motor controls, plumbing, welding, Pneumatics).
- Familiar with the function and operation of a variety of manufacturing equipment and processes (i.e. metal machining, drilling, surface treatment, heat treatment would be advantageous).
- Certification in Electrical & Mechanical disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Provide an effective and efficient service to ensure all manufacturing machinery and site services are maintained both electrically and mechanically through the planned maintenance schedule.
- Respond to breakdowns through in line with the priority system.
- Determine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and either complete remedial work during shift or brief subsequent shift on issue, cause and recommended solution.
- Record breakdown and task information on completion of repair or improvement using Piranha system.
- Maintain the relevant stock levels of spares and consumables reviewing and updating the register.
- Ensure the correct tools and equipment are available to carry out the tasks and repairs.
- Ensure 5S standards are maintained in the maintenance workshop at all times.
- Ensure all work is carried out to relevant legislation and EHS standards.
- Undertake servicing of machines and ancillary equipment as per the relevant schedules.
- Carry out facility repairs and maintenance as per the schedule or as and when required.
- Source and obtain parts and materials as required following the procedures of the procurement system.
