Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 1pm

Our client is a Somerset based precision manufacturer of low volume components working within a range of highly-regulated sectors and as a result of streamlined growth, they are now looking to recruit for an Engineering Sales Estimator to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

Working within a highly supportive and team-oriented environment, the Engineering Sales Estimator will join the businesses sales operations team and support the preparation of customer quotes, planning and optimisation of manufacturing operations as well as working closely with key customers, leveraging your technical expertise and customer liaison skills delivering key solutions for a variety of industries.

Key candidate background needed:

  • Experience within precision engineering/manufacturing
  • Able to read, understand and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Any previous experience within engineering sales estimation would be highly advantageous (although NOT essential)

Preparing customer quotations with the support of key specifications and technical drawings. Liaising closely with customers, estimating production times, bringing in subcontractor elements where applicable. Reviewing and responding to RFQ’s (request for quotation) interpreting and understanding technical engineering drawings. Manage and maintain key technical documents and records. Communicating with customers effectively by providing insights and updates on progress, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained. Managing stakeholders expectations (internal and external), working with cross-functional teams to ensure feasible, cost-effective solutions & outcomes.
