We are currently seeking a proactive Human Resources Advisor to join our client's manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive HR support while functioning as an integral member of a busy HR function.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proficient in using HR databases - GPS oracle and TMS.
  • Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.).
  • Good understanding of Employment Law with an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies and procedures, and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a professional front-line advisory service that supports employees and managers with HR policy, process, and system queries.
  • Support the review, update, and implementation of existing HR policies and procedures and associated documentation including forms, in line with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Support the preparation of HR policies for employees’ access on the internal drives.
  • Support the HR Team Leader in delivering a professional, proactive, expert telephone and written ER advisory service to managers across the business.
  • Managing cases such as conduct matters, capability, and other employee relations issues.
  • Responsible for leading and producing the weekly and monthly HR metrics and providing a comprehensive analysis of the data in preparation for presentation to the Plant Managers and the Corporate HR team.
  • Preparation of payroll information, ensuring this is submitted to the payroll team along with checking the monthly payroll file.
  • Responsible for preparing and processing periodic bonus payments and pay cycle amendments together with the associated employee documentation and communication.
  • Review key learning points from cases/projects and support changes, improvements, and learning activity.
  • Support the people strategy and implementation of HR initiatives.
