Salary: £42,000 per annum + Van + paid OT + benefits

Our client provides specialist monitoring equipment to businesses in multiple sectors such as manufacturing sites, fast food chains and 24/7 operational facilities. Due to continued growth, they need an Installation Electrician to support their customers in Bristol. The role also involves call‑outs to other cities and may require overnight stays. It is ideal for a Field Service Engineer/Electrician with experience installing equipment in commercial properties. A transferable product skill set should include metering & control systems, sensors or sensing systems, surveillance equipment, monitoring equipment, etc.

Candidate Background Needed:

  • Completed AM2 Assessment
  • UK Driving Licence
  • 18th Edition
  • Experience with 3‑phase power
  • Inspection and testing – 2391 or 2394/5 (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Willing to support other regions around the UK, including overnight stays
  • Maintain van stock and site readiness
  • Install, repair, and maintain metering and control systems including wiring, circuits, and fixtures in accordance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs accurately
  • Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify defects, faults, or malfunctions, and diagnose issues using testing equipment and tools
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems such as power outages, short circuits, and voltage fluctuations and implement corrective actions to restore functionality
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks
  • Test electrical systems and components for proper operation, voltage, current, and resistance using multimeters, voltage testers, and other diagnostic tools
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers’ engineers
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports, documenting repairs, modifications, and upgrades
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following proper procedures for handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials, and adhering to safety protocols at all times
