We have partnered with a market leading provider of innovative renewable energy solutions across the South of England who are hiring now for HVAC Engineers to join their rapidly growing Engineering team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Purpose of the Role
The Design Manager will lead the technical design function managing a small team of Designers, assuming full responsibility for the design process working within the renewable energy industry focussing on heat pump networks, solar installations, MVHR as well as M&E solutions. The Design Manager will be the senior, technical authority for the design and installation teams ensuring designs are meticulously detailed, managing the departments workflow, implementing robust & thorough Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes as well as triaging design requests working closely with internal & external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of HVAC systems such as chillers, AHU’s, MVHR, ventilation equipment, heat pumps, VRV’s, LTHW and chilled systems
- Supporting the HVAC Manager in managing and overseeing project works
- Assisting with reactive and planned preventative service operations
- Supporting the development of junior and assistant Service Engineers
Person Specification
Qualifications & Education:
- Category 1 F-GAS 2079 certification
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- Confident and capable of working with a variety of AC & refrigeration systems
- Full UK driving licence is required for this role
- Able to work at height and within confined spaces
- Experienced installing, servicing and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
