The Valley CP School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant level 2 with SEN, required A.S.A.P. The position is fixed term, which for the right candidate may become permanent.
Salary grade D: £26,847 - £29,071 FTE per annum, with an SEN allowance of £1,590 FTE. The role is for 27.5 hours per week, term time plus 1 week.
The post holder will be required to work across the school (Nursery-KS2). The Children, Staff and Governors would welcome applications from candidates who have:
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills (minimum GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths)
- Experience and/or qualifications within the area of SEND (essential)
- Team teach (desirable)
- Confidence in implementing strategies to support the child’s behaviour, learning and development
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Be hard working and able to use your own initiative
- The ability to enable all children, as individuals, to thrive in your care
- A knowledge of assessing pupils with SEND
- Able to set clear boundaries and have experience of a range of behaviour management strategies to promote positive attitudes to learning
