We are hiring our first Robotics Automation & Sales Specialist—someone who will work directly alongside our CEO to build this business from the ground up. This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to be a founding team member of a high-growth venture in the rapidly expanding automation market.
You’ll be involved in everything from A to Z: learning the technology inside and out, conducting demos, troubleshooting issues, implementing solutions, and closing sales. This role demands versatility, technical curiosity, and entrepreneurial drive.
What You’ll Do (Working Directly with the CEO)
- Technology Mastery & Implementation (50%)
- Learn and master robotic platforms
- Understand hardware, software, navigation systems, and integration requirements
- Conduct site surveys and develop implementation plans for client locations
- Install, configure, and deploy robots at client sites
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide hands-on support
- Test new equipment and develop standard operating procedures
- Train clients on robot operation and maintenance
- Sales & Business Development (50%)
- Identify and pursue opportunities in commercial cleaning and facilities management
- Conduct product demonstrations showcasing the RaaS value proposition
- Build and manage sales pipeline targeting facilities managers and cleaning contractors
- Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals
- Build long-term client relationships and identify expansion opportunities
- Achieve agreed sales targets as we scale the business
- Gather market feedback to refine our offering and positioning
- Strategic Planning & Operations
- Work with the CEO to develop implementation strategies and operational workflows
- Create documentation, troubleshooting guides, and training materials
- Participate in partnership discussions with technology providers
- Contribute to business planning and growth strategy
- Help establish best practices as we scale the operation
What We Need from You
- Technical aptitude - comfortable with technology, eager to learn robotics systems from scratch
- Hands-on mentality - willing to get involved in physical installation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Sales capability - proven ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals
- Problem-solving skills - resourceful and solutions-oriented when facing technical or client challenges
- Self-starter attitude - entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently
- Full UK driving licence - travel across the UK required
- Total commitment - this is a new division; we need someone all-in who’s ready to build something significant
Highly Desirable:
- B2B sales experience in technology, automation, facilities management, or cleaning sectors
- Technical background (engineering, IT, robotics, automation, or similar)
- Experience with IoT devices, software platforms, or hardware-software integration
- Understanding of commercial cleaning operations or facilities management
- Network within facilities management or commercial property sectors
- Track record of meeting sales targets
Personal Attributes We’re Looking For:
- Adaptable - comfortable wearing multiple hats and switching between technical and commercial tasks
- Resilient - startup life has ups and downs; you need to thrive in uncertainty
- Curious learner - passionate about understanding how things work
- Customer-focused - committed to client success and building lasting relationships
- Team player - willing to collaborate closely with CEO and future team members
- Detail-oriented - nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
WHO YOU’RE NOT:
- Someone who needs hand-holding and clear instructions
- 9-5 mentality (this requires hustle and flexibility)
- Risk-averse (startups aren’t for everyone)
- Can’t handle rejection or setbacks
- Waiting for "perfect" before taking action
- Expect the established brand to sell itself (YOU create the market)
What We Offer
- Uncapped commission with realistic OTE of £50,000-£70,000+ in Year 1
- Commission accelerators for exceeding targets
- Annual reviews with significant growth potential as the business scales

- Opportunity to build and eventually lead your own team
- Exposure to cutting-edge robotics technology and emerging automation trends
- Shape the culture and systems of a high-growth venture
What Success Looks Like
- First 3 Months: Master the technology across all robot platforms, complete first successful client implementations, build an initial sales pipeline of qualified prospects
- Months 3-6: Achieve consistent monthly sales performance, develop standardised implementation processes, build strong relationships with technology partners
- Months 6-12: Lead end-to-end process from prospect to implementation, exceed sales targets consistently, identify opportunities for service expansion, begin mentoring the second hire as the team grows
The Reality of Startup Life
Let’s be honest about what this involves: High Impact Role requiring dedication beyond standard 9-5 - especially in early stages and during critical implementations, you will be there to see them through. Varied work - one day you’re in a boardroom presenting, next day you’re on your hands and knees troubleshooting a robot. Unpredictability - plans change, priorities shift, you need to adapt quickly. High stakes - your performance directly impacts company success. Intense learning curve - you’ll need to absorb a huge amount quickly.
But also: Incredible opportunity - ground floor of a high-growth venture. Real ownership - your ideas and efforts directly shape outcomes. Rapid growth - learn and advance faster than in corporate roles. Meaningful work - transforming an industry through sustainability and innovation.
