Green Facilities Management Limited is a B Corp-certified, ISO-accredited commercial cleaning company with over 15 years of industry experience. We are launching an innovative Robotics division that will transform the UK commercial cleaning industry through cutting-edge automation technology.
The Opportunity
We are hiring our first Robotics Automation & Sales Specialist—someone who will work directly alongside our CEO to build this business from the ground up. This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to be a founding team member of a high-growth venture in the rapidly expanding automation market. You’ll be involved in everything from A to Z: learning the technology inside and out, conducting demos, troubleshooting issues, implementing solutions, and closing sales. This role demands versatility, technical curiosity, and entrepreneurial drive.
What You’ll Do (Working Directly with the CEO)
- Technology Mastery & Implementation (50%)
- Learn and master robotic platforms
- Understand hardware, software, navigation systems, and integration requirements
- Conduct site surveys and develop implementation plans for client locations
- Install, configure, and deploy robots at client sites
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide hands-on support
- Test new equipment and develop standard operating procedures
- Train clients on robot operation and maintenance
- Sales & Business Development (50%)
- Identify and pursue opportunities in commercial cleaning and facilities management
- Conduct product demonstrations showcasing the RaaS value proposition
- Build and manage sales pipeline targeting facilities managers and cleaning contractors
- Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals
- Build long-term client relationships and identify expansion opportunities
- Achieve agreed sales targets as we scale the business
- Gather market feedback to refine our offering and positioning
- Strategic Planning & Operations
- Work with the CEO to develop implementation strategies and operational workflows
- Create documentation, troubleshooting guides, and training materials
- Participate in partnership discussions with technology providers
- Contribute to business planning and growth strategy
- Help establish best practices as we scale the operation
What We Need from You
Essential Requirements:
- Technical aptitude - comfortable with technology, eager to learn robotics systems from scratch
- Hands-on mentality - willing to get involved in physical installation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Sales capability - proven ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals
- Problem-solving skills - resourceful and solutions-oriented when facing technical or client challenges
- Self-starter attitude - entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently
- Full UK driving licence - travel across the UK required
- Total commitment - this is a new division; we need someone all-in who’s ready to build something significant
Highly Desirable:
- B2B sales experience in technology, automation, facilities management, or cleaning sectors
- Technical background (engineering, IT, robotics, automation, or similar)
- Experience with IoT devices, software platforms, or hardware-software integration
- Understanding of commercial cleaning operations or facilities management
- Network within facilities management or commercial property sectors
- Track record of meeting sales targets

What We Offer
Compensation:
- Base salary: £30,000-£40,000 (depending on experience)
- Uncapped commission with realistic OTE of £50,000-£70,000+ in Year 1

What Success Looks Like
- First 3 Months: Master the technology across all robot platforms, complete first successful client implementations, build an initial sales pipeline of qualified prospects, close first robot deployments
- Months 3-6: Achieve consistent monthly sales performance, develop standardised implementation processes, build strong relationships with technology partners
- Months 6-12: Lead end-to-end process from prospect to implementation, exceed sales targets consistently, identify opportunities for service expansion, begin mentoring the second hire as the team grows
