About Green Earth Developments Group (certified B Corp): Green Earth Developments Group (GEDG) is a purpose driven environmental and land management business delivering high impact nature recovery, biodiversity enhancement and land transformation projects across the UK. We work with major housebuilders, national infrastructure organisations, local authorities and commercial developers to deliver solutions that balance progress with responsible environmental stewardship.

We are seeking a Sales Operations Manager who is commercially astute, operationally strong, and highly organised, someone who thrives not in a traditional outbound sales environment, but in a structured, process driven, relationship led commercial role. This is a middle management position reporting to Head of Sales, with line management responsibility for junior sales executives as the team grows.

This role would suit someone who has a background in Sales Operations, Account Management or Client Success Management in a complex B2B, infrastructure, public sector, or built environment context. Ideally experience within Planning, Housing, Development, Land Management, Ecology or Environmental Services. Additionally, an understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), environmental markets, habitat banking, or related legislation would be a distinct advantage.

You will be the engine behind our commercial workflow: ensuring enquiries are managed professionally, clients are well supported and guided through our processes, sales data and forecasts are robust, relationships are nurtured, and the business has the intelligence it needs to make strong strategic decisions.

  • Sales Operations & Process Management:
  • Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Maintain and refine internal sales processes and reporting mechanisms.
  • Provide pipeline forecasting, sales insights, and commercial reporting to leadership.
  • Work closely with project delivery, ecology and finance teams to ensure seamless client experience.
  • Client & Account Management:
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with housing developers, local authorities, planners, infrastructure clients and large contractors.
  • Take ownership of some of GEDG’s accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention and growth.
  • Support clients in understanding our environmental products and services, including habitat banks, BNG units, land restoration schemes and nature recovery projects.
  • People Management & Team Development:
  • Line manage junior sales staff as the team grows, setting objectives, priorities and performance expectations.
  • Coach direct reports to build commercial capability and sector knowledge.
  • Allocate workload across the team to balance enquiries, accounts and reporting.

Experience in Sales Operations / Account Management / Client Success Management in a complex B2B or public sector facing environment. Familiarity with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot, and sales operations tooling. Strong commercial acumen: able to understand commercial drivers, structure deals and support decision making. Able to report on sales performance and clearly present to the senior leadership team. Proven ability to build and manage long term client relationships. Understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and its role within the planning and development system. Knowledge of environmental policy, land use regulation, or nature based markets.

Opportunity to grow professionally and help shape the commercial function of a rapidly growing, purpose driven environmental organisation. Work with some of the UK’s most significant developers, infrastructure providers and local authority partners. Competitive salary and benefits package. Professional development and exposure to cutting edge nature recovery and environmental innovation initiatives.
