What you’ll do:
- Lead the electrical, mechanical, thermal, and control design of power converters, drives, and inverters
- Work with advanced semiconductor technologies (IGBT, SiC, GaN, etc.)
- Drive system-level fault studies, protection strategies, and performance optimisation
- Support projects from tendering to commissioning, working with customers and suppliers
What we’re looking for:
- Degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Power Electronics or similar
- Strong experience in converter design, control, thermal & gating/snubber circuits
- Hands‑on with tools like MATLAB, Simulink, PLECS, PSpice, CFD
- Comfortable in a technical leadership role, excellent communicator
- Willing to travel (UK & overseas) and able to obtain UK security clearance
