LEAD CONTROLS & AUTOMATION ENGINEER – RUGBY Electrification | Controls & Systems

Join a world-leading engineering company supporting power energy to industrial projects and maritime seascape. You’ll lead the design, development, testing, and commissioning of PLC, HMI, and automation systems from concept to sea trials.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead control system projects from order to vessel commissioning
  • Design PLC, HMI/SCADA, networks, and control architectures
  • Develop PLC software (IEC 61131-3) and perform FAT & commissioning
  • Act as technical interface with customers, suppliers, and classification societies

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Control Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong PLC & automation project experience
  • Knowledge of Modbus, OPC-UA, Profibus, Profinet, etc.
  • Right to work in the UK

Nice to have:

  • Chartered status (or working towards), OT cybersecurity, Functional Safety, willingness to travel.
