POWER SYSTEMS ENGINEER – RUGBY

What you’ll do:

  • Design and develop AC/DC power system architectures and Single Line Diagrams
  • Perform power system studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Harmonics, Transient, Protection, etc.) using tools such as MATLAB, DigSilent, ETAP, PSCAD or PSSE
  • Specify and support delivery of HV/LV equipment (switchboards, generators, transformers, converters, motors, cables, etc.)
  • Support projects from tender and detailed design through to testing, commissioning, and in-service support
  • Produce clear, compliant engineering documentation aligned with international standards and safety requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in power systems, ideally in industrial, marine, or naval/defence environments
  • Expertise in areas such as Power System Modelling, Power Electronics, Machines & Drives, or Generator Systems
  • A proactive, problem-solving engineer who thrives in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of IEC, MIL, DEF or marine classification standards is a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field; working towards or holding CEng is preferred
  • Willingness to travel (UK & overseas) and eligibility for UK security clearance will be required.
