We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Systems Engineer (Electrical Test) to join an exciting engineering programme focused on cutting-edge HVDC technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing and enhancing high-voltage manufacturing test facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing test infrastructure.
- Act as the technical authority for electrical test facilities and support issue resolution.
- Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for test facilities.
- Manage suppliers and contractors during build, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and OT teams to develop integrated test solutions.
- Improve manufacturing performance through Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Degree/HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years' experience designing and implementing manufacturing test facilities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety in high-voltage environments (LOTO, FMEA, Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work).
- Experience with structured root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
Desirable:
- Experience with NI LabVIEW.
