🚨 UK CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY | Automation Engineer III
A leading global energy & grid engineering organisation is looking for an experienced Protection / Automation Engineer to support major HV transmission and renewable energy projects.
Stafford, UK | On-site
Competitive houly rate | Inside IR35
Contract through Feb 2027
Key requirements:
- National Grid Settings Authorisation
- HV protection settings & coordination
- Distance, differential, overcurrent, earth fault & busbar protection
- Short-circuit / fault-level studies
- DIgSILENT PowerFactory experience
- AC substation / transmission experience
- Electrical Engineering degree
- 7+ years’ relevant experience preferred
Desirable: HVDC, BESS, renewables, grid stability, arc-flash and commissioning experience.
The initial contract runs to February 2027, with potential for extension depending on project requirements, workload and business needs .
