Digital Marketing Specialist (Maternity Cover – 6 months Fixed Term, option to extend)
The Role
We’re looking for a proactive, hands‑on Digital Marketing Specialist to cover a period of maternity leave. This is an execution‑focused role, ideal for someone who thrives on delivering campaigns, creating content, and ensuring marketing operations run smoothly.
Our Director will retain responsibility for marketing strategy. Your role is to bring that strategy to life through day‑to‑day delivery and coordination.
Contract: 6 months fixed term, with potential to extend
Location: Cambridge (hybrid working)
Start date: January 2026
Reports to: CEO

What You’ll Be Doing
- Updating and publishing content to our website (e.g. case studies, blogs, opinion pieces, news)
- Managing social media channels to ensure regular, engaging posts and community growth
- Creating and sending newsletters and email campaigns using our CRM
- Supporting content development, especially short‑form copy, graphics, and video snippets for campaigns
- Collaborating with our sales team to deliver outbound marketing campaigns
- Maintaining and updating CRM records to support clean, accurate contact data
- Uploading and maintaining our AWS listings and coordinating with AWS marketing contacts
- Managing AWS funding request and event budgets
- Supporting events, awards submissions, and customer‑facing presentations
- Making ongoing improvements to our digital marketing assets in line with brand guidelines
What You’ll Need
- 2+ years of digital marketing experience, ideally in a B2B or tech setting
- Hands‑on experience with content management systems and CRM/email platforms
- Strong copywriting and editing skills, attention to detail is a must
- Familiarity with paid social and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in basic image and video editing software (Adobe suite or equivalent)
- A collaborative, practical approach and a willingness to get stuck in
Bonus if you have:
- Experience working with AWS partner marketing
- A CIPD/CIM qualification (desirable but not essential)
Contract Terms
- Fixed‑term: 6 months from December 2025 (with option to extend).
- Salary: Competitive, based on experience.
- Working pattern: Ideally full time, but part time (min. 3 days/week) considered for the right candidate.
