Eden Scott are delighted to be supporting Green Cat Renewables with the appointment of a Grid Specialist. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of renewable energy projects covering wind, solar, battery storage and hydrogen.
Green Cat Renewables (GCR) is a dynamic, innovative company that provides the complete range of technical services required to deliver renewable energy projects. The team of over 90 Engineers and Environmental Consultants deliver projects on behalf of clients from four offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Livingston and Biggar. Through the Engineering Department, the company provides Engineering Consultancy and Project Management services to Clients, including civil and electrical design; project finance technical assistance; contract preparation, negotiation and management; civil, mechanical and electrical inspections; and other requirements relating to the design and construction of wind, hydro, solar, storage and hybrid projects.
Green Cat Renewables requires a Grid Specialist to join the Engineering team in either the Roslin or Glasgow office.
- Engage and liaise with stakeholders (Network Operators, OEMs) for pre-application meetings, grid offer discussions and post-connection requirements.
- Evaluate project risks in relation to grid connection availability, timescales and cost and establish mitigation strategies.
- Undertake assessment of grid capacities on distribution and transmission networks for varying types of generation technologies.
- Provide specialist guidance on grid connection issues throughout the company (feasibility, planning, due diligence, construction).
Able to work from the Edinburgh or Glasgow offices (4 days per week / 1 day per week working from home).
Valid Driving Licence and willingness to travel when required.
