We are looking for an experienced IR35 & Contracts Officer to take ownership of our end‑to‑end IR35 compliance framework and governance of all contractor and outsourced service arrangements. This is a key role for someone who can combine technical IR35 expertise, contract review capability, and process design with the confidence to influence stakeholders across HR, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and the wider business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and maintain our IR35 policy, processes, and controls.
- Conduct and document IR35 status assessments and issue SDSs.
- Review contracts, SoWs, and supplier terms to assess employment status risk.
- Map and manage the full contractual chain for all contingent labour.
- Design and embed workflows and control checkpoints from sourcing to offboarding.
- Select and implement IR35/compliance software and reporting dashboards.
- Train managers and provide day‑to‑day guidance on IR35 and contract queries.
- Monitor regulatory updates, run periodic audits, and drive continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands‑on experience with IR35 status assessments and SDS documentation.
- Solid understanding of contract clauses influencing employment status.
- Ability to build processes, frameworks, templates, and controls.
- Experience with compliance, contract management, or vendor management software.
- Confident stakeholder engagement and training delivery skills.
- Analytical mindset with good reporting/Excel/Power BI capability.
- Knowledge of UK employment and tax frameworks (CIPD/CIPS/WorldCC/ATT/CTA desirable).
