We are looking for a reliable, skilled, and proactive General Maintenance Handy Person to support the upkeep and improvement of a small portfolio of supported accommodation homes. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, maintains high standards, and can work independently to ensure properties remain safe, compliant, and well-presented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs across multiple homes
- Ensure all fire doors and door frames are compliant and maintained to a high standard
- Complete carpentry tasks including repairs, fittings, and installations
- Undertake plastering, tiling, and painting/decorating work
- Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Respond to general repair requests promptly and efficiently
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs
- Ensure all work meets health & safety and regulatory standards
- Respond to call-outs when required to secure homes or carry out urgent/emergency repairs (call-outs are extremely rare and only expected in genuine emergency situations)

- Proven experience in general property maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Fire doors and compliance requirements
- Carpentry and joinery
- Plastering and tiling
- Painting and decorating
- Basic plumbing
