I am looking for a Children Residential Support Worker to work nights in a good Ofsted rated home in Swanley. This is a full time permanent nights role and comes with support, training and future development opportunities.

You will be working for an amazing organisation who really value and support their staff. You will be working night shifts and providing care to children throughout the night, dealing with any issues, helping with bedtime and morning duties and preparing the children for their day.

If you are looking to start your career in social care, this will be a great opportunity as full training will be provided, along with the opportunity to progress in the future.

You will be supporting an experienced team, providing care and support to young people. The children have needs including emotional and challenging behaviours and so you will need to be resilient, patient and friendly. You will be able to set and stick to boundaries and help the social development of the young people. This is a challenging but extremely rewarding role and you will be making a huge difference to the young people you support.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent or willingness to complete.
  • A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
  • Be caring, compassionate, understanding and show patience.
  • Experience of caring and supporting children and young people.
  • Be a team player, flexible, honest and reliable.
  • Be able to work permanent night shifts.
