I am looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive Waking Night Supported Living Worker to join a lovely team in Taunton. The role comes with great opportunities for future development. The service provides care and support to young people aged 16-18 year old care leavers. In this role you will empower the young people to live independently, build confidence, and thrive in their own homes and communities. The service is based in Taunton and the home is of a very high standard and the young people are encouraged to be proud of and look after their home. Whether you are looking to start a career in social care or bringing years of experience, this is a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people and be part of a supportive team. You will be encouraged and supported to complete your Level 3 to enable you to grow into more senior roles in the future.
Main duties of the role include:
- Support young people and provide high-quality, person-centred support based on individual support and care plans.
- Promote independence by encouraging and supporting young people to develop essential life skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a tenancy.
- Deal with any night time incidents or emergencies.
- Ensure the young people are safe and well cared for and supported.
- Safeguarding by remaining vigilant to risks and concerns, following safeguarding protocols and reporting concerns.
