Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to oversee the delivery of domestic retrofit projects, including insulation, renewable technologies, and heating systems.
This is a hands-on role combining project management with site-based activity. The Project Manager will oversee projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved.
The role involves managing installation teams and subcontractors, working closely with the wider support function to ensure successful project delivery. The position reports to the Operations Director and is supported by the Business Support team for administrative and coordination tasks.
Experience delivering Energy Efficiency retrofit projects in Social Housing and Area Based Schemes compliant with PAS 2030 / 2035 and MCS is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all work meets the highest standards of Health & Safety and complies with CDM regulations.
- Lead and manage domestic retrofit projects across insulation, renewables, and heating measures.
- Conduct daily site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with PAS 2035/2030 & MCS requirements.
- Manage installation teams and subcontractors to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, householders, and other stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Maintain project documentation, risk assessments, and compliance records.
- Ensure installation evidence and reports fully meet client and contractual requirements.
- Work closely with the Business Support team to manage scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions.
- Drive continuous improvement in project processes and delivery outcomes.
Skills & Experience
Essential β MUST HAVE!
- Proven project management experience within domestic retrofit, construction, or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of retrofit measures, including building fabric, renewables, and heating.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and delivery skills.
- Ability to perform site inspections, manage installations, and ensure quality control.
- Good understanding of PAS 2035/2030 and retrofit standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance office-based responsibilities with regular site visits.
Relevant Qualifications
- NEBOSH (General or Construction) or IOSH Managing Safely
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- Asbestos Management
- Scaffold Management
- Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent)
