Job Title: Liaison Officer – Facades & Cladding Projects Location: Manchester (Projects) / Lymm (Head Office) Salary: Dependent on Experience (DOE) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Company Overview: We are a specialist contractor in the facades and cladding industry, delivering high-quality solutions for residential, commercial, and public sector clients. With a reputation for excellence and a growing project portfolio in the Greater Manchester area, we are seeking a dedicated Liaison Officer to support effective communication between stakeholders and ensure smooth project delivery. Role Summary: As the Liaison Officer, you will serve as the key point of contact between the project team, clients, residents, local authorities, and subcontractors. You will play a critical role in managing communications, handling queries, supporting community relations, and promoting positive stakeholder engagement throughout the lifecycle of facade and cladding refurbishment or new-build projects. Key Responsibilities: * Act as the main liaison between residents, clients, site teams, and the head office. * Manage all communication and engagement activities related to ongoing cladding and façade works. * Schedule and attend meetings with stakeholders, including residents’ briefings, consultations, and progress updates. * Address and resolve resident or client concerns with professionalism and empathy. * Provide regular progress reports to senior management. * Ensure communications are clear, timely, and compliant with safety and regulatory requirements. * Maintain accurate records of interactions, complaints, and resolutions. * Support the delivery team in planning logistics to minimise disruption. * Assist in coordinating access and appointments for inspections or remedial works. * Promote a positive image of the company and maintain strong community relations. Requirements: * Proven experience in a liaison, customer care, or community engagement role within the construction industry, ideally on façade or cladding projects. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written. * Ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve conflicts tactfully. * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. * Confident using Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools. * Understanding of construction project workflows and health & safety considerations. * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between project sites and head office. Desirable: * Experience on recladding or external envelope remediation projects. * Awareness of Building Safety Act and fire safety regulations relating to cladding. * NVQ, HNC, or equivalent qualification in construction or customer service (preferred but not essential).
